What you can use it for

For a one-off cash gap you can clear soon, such as a bill due before payday. Borrow RM 500 to RM 10,000 for 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. You repay the amount plus interest in a single payment on the due date, or earlier.

Bills due before payday

Rent or school fees due on the 20th, salary in on the 28th. Example: RM 2,000 for 14 days costs RM 3.81 in interest, so you repay RM 2,003.81.

Urgent repairs

A car repair you need to get to work, or a burst pipe at home, when your savings won't stretch until next month.

Waiting for a client to pay

Freelancers and small traders covering costs until a confirmed invoice is paid.

Overlapping deposits

A new rental deposit due before the old one is refunded.

Sending an enquiry won't check your credit record and doesn't commit you to anything. An adviser will message you on WhatsApp, usually within 1 working hour, with a rough idea of how much you could borrow, your likely rate and your monthly repayment.

How much interest will I pay?

Interest = amount × daily rate × days. At 4.9% p.a. (about 0.0136% a day), RM 5,000 for 14 days costs RM 5,000 × 4.9% ÷ 360 × 14 = RM 9.53. RM 2,000 for 30 days costs RM 8.17, so you repay RM 2,008.17 on the due date. Every approved customer pays 4.9% p.a.; your assessment decides whether you're approved and how much we can lend, and your adviser confirms the amount and due date before you sign.

If I repay early, do I still pay for the full period?

No. Interest is charged only for the days you actually borrow, and there's no early repayment penalty. Borrow RM 2,000 for 30 days and repay on day 14, and the interest is RM 3.81 instead of RM 8.17.

Why is there no monthly instalment?

Because it's meant for short gaps, you repay everything in one payment on the due date by bank transfer, FPX or JomPAY. Choose a period that ends after the date your money comes in, not before it.

What if I can't repay on the due date?

Tell your adviser on WhatsApp before the due date, not after. Late payment charges set out in your loan agreement apply once the due date passes, and missed payments can affect future applications. Ask your adviser before you sign whether our licensed lending partner reports repayments to any credit reporting agency. Your adviser can explain the options your agreement allows. If you're struggling with several debts, AKPK offers free counselling.

When is a short-term loan a bad idea?

If you'd need another loan to repay this one, the gap isn't short-term. If you come up short every month, the fix is a budget change, or a Personal Loan with instalments you can plan around. Never take a new short-term loan just to repay an old one.
